This past October, the Center for Political Communication partnered with Delaware First Media to host nonpartisan Delaware Debates 2010 for major candidates for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives seats from Delaware. The U. S. Senate debate between Chris Coons and Christine O’Donnell once again brought national media attention to the Newark campus, as CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer broadcast live from campus and co-moderated the debate. Student involvement also was quite high, with protestors and supporters of both campaigns in evidence throughout campus.
