Christopher J. Christie, current governor of New Jersey, graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1984. He received his law degree from Seton Hall University in 1987 and was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and the Bar of the United States District Court, District of New Jersey that same year. In December 2001, Christie was nominated to be U. S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey. He was confirmed by a unanimous Senate vote, and confirmed in January 2002. Christie was elected governor of New Jersey in November 2009.
