For most students, college life features one or more student organizations. From groups and associations related to their majors to organizations established just for fun, UD students have had a huge variety of choices over the years when it comes to clubs. Musical groups, for example, played a huge role in UD campus life. Dozens of instrumental groups, from small ensembles to the University of Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hen Marching Band, founded in 1941, gave students the opportunity to grow as musicians. Campus choral groups, from the Music Department’s internationally recognized UD Chorale to student a capella groups, gave students a greater voice to express their UD pride.
