My Pride and Joy

My portrait explores how beauty exists despite perceived “imperfections” and the beauty that humans inherently possess. I aim to showcase the beauty of various cultures, with this portrait depicting the pride of being of African descent but also the pride of also being American. I use my portraiture to celebrate the beauty of culture and heritage; but to celebrate the beauty of people first and foremost.
