Ad Locations and Per Hour Breakdown

The University Student Centers are an excellent place to advertise with daily foot traffic of 5000+ between our two centers Perkins and Trabant. We reach an impressive range of audiences on campus every day and can help you promote your message or event within our spaces through our digital signs. There are four digital screens in the Trabant University Center, eight in the Perkins Student Center, and an LED sign located on the exterior patio of both Trabant and Perkins. All screens run on a continuous loop. Space is limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Duration: ~8-second ad display indoors, 20-second outdoors
  • Example Advertising Threshold: At a minimum, your ad will display once every four minutes (15-times per hour) indoors and once every 10 minutes outdoors (6-times per hour). Given our current maximum ads restriction, this is the least your ad would display in one hour. 
  • Current Max Ads: 30 Per Week

Digital Signage Policy

Student groups must be registered and in good standing with the University Student Centers. An officer must be listed on Student Central to be eligible to submit your group’s request to post on a digital sign.

Ad Reservation Limitations

To allow all student groups opportunities for access and to prevent a monopoly on digital signs, the following limits are placed on reservations:
  • Due to the number of registered student organizations (RSOs) we have on campus, postings must be specific to student group events (i.e. no generic student group promotions are allowed).
  • No more than two postings per student group are allowed at a time.
  • Registered student organizations may not reserve space request postings on behalf of other organizations or University departments.
  • The student group requesting the posting must be primarily responsible for planning, implementing, and financing the event.
  • University Student Centers reserves the right to evaluate and make the final determination of the posting. If intentional misrepresentation has occurred, this may result in the suspension of posting privileges in all USC facilities.
  • Approval must be received by USC on all postings before they will be displayed.
  • Postings must prominently display the name of the student group planning the event, as well as provide the date, time, location, and the link to your event page.
  • Postings for program or event series that exceed one single event will only be approved if all events take place during the same calendar week.
  • Student groups classified as Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) must follow the use of the University of Delaware trademark and logos policies.
  • Approval will not be given for postings advertising personal sales of items (i.e. cars, furniture, etc.) or for individuals seeking roommates

Digital Signage Specifications

  • Images can be accepted as either JPEG or PNG.
  • File dimensions must be 1920×1080 for interior landscape displays, 1080×1920 for interior portrait displays, and 150×60 for exterior LED signs.
  • Recommended image resolution is 96 PPI.
  • Digital ads are displayed for 8 seconds each on interior displays, and 20 seconds on the exterior LED signs.
  • Videos and animations are permitted on interior displays only, but cannot include sound. Videos are limited to 10 seconds.
  • Due to their low resolution, LED graphics should be limited to at most three lines of text in order to ensure readability. Detailed imagery and photos will not display properly.
  • Please avoid white backgrounds on LED graphics, as these can be overly bright

Submission Guidelines

  • Reservations for digital ad space will be accepted for the current semester only (and must be made 7 days in advance of the post date).
  • Postings will be displayed no earlier than 1 week prior to the date of the event.
  • Please allow 2 business days for promotions to be posted.
  • The Student Life Communications and Marketing team reserves the right to approve or deny your ad request and may request a redesign if needed for branding or legibility purposes. In certain circumstances, our team may offer a redesign at a cost.
