2020 Winter Job Shadow Program

This program connects current University Delaware students with alumni and employers for short-term job shadowing opportunities to explore potential career fields over winter session.  There are a number of opportunities that are relevant to students in UST; opportunities that could help you solidify the direction in which you might go professionally.

For the Hospitality Business Management major, the Vita Nova Restaurant and Courtyard by Marriott offer students hands-on experience where you can round out your academic knowledge. Vita Nova is a student-managed restaurant. The 126-room Courtyard by Marriott offers students valuable experience in sales, marketing, revenue management, front office and housekeeping.

The Hospitality Industry Management major places emphasis on quantitative and analytical skills to support decision making in hospitality businesses. The curriculum is designed for students with a strong career interest in analytical and support functions such as consulting, commercial real estate transaction services, sales and marketing, revenue management, e-business and hospitality information technology in the global hospitality industry.
