Public Parking in Newark
Both the University of Delaware and the City of Newark utilize the Passport payment application; however, the University of Delaware operates its own Parking Services department. While the City of Newark enforces parking regulations citywide, the University of Delaware’s Parking Services oversees enforcement, permitting, and paid parking on university grounds. Additionally, several private parking lots are operated by Blue Hen Parking Partners (BHPP). The University of Delaware has no relationship and is not affiliated with BBHP. It is important to note that the City of Newark, Blue Hen Parking Partners, and the University of Delaware are separate entities, and any permits or violations must be addressed with the issuing authority.Â
Please refer to the General Regulations section regarding general parking regulations.
