Resident Student

Resident students who wish to park their car on campus are required to have a valid parking permit. Students are not permitted to purchase parking for another student including adding their vehicle onto an active permit.

Resident students will be restricted to designated lots based upon the availability of parking at the time of their parking registration application. Nearby lots for residence halls sell out quickly.

Lot 114 is a 24/7 restricted lot for on-campus residents of the Graduate House. Resident student parking permits are valid in most other lots between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and between the hours of 5:00 p.m. Friday and 7:00 a.m. Monday. Resident Student permit holders can park in gray lots when classes and exams are not in session.

Monthly parking permits for a parking garage may be purchased if space is available. This permit allows 24/7 parking in the assigned garage and red lots. Monthly permits may not be renewed based on space availability in the garage.

Current permit holders can request access via their UD ID card from 5:45 PM – 2 AM Monday through Friday, all day on weekends and holidays to the following gate lots 37C Amstel gate, 34C Library Gate and 53C Haines Street Gate.

Lot 4C, Lot 14C, Lot 41, and Lot 17C are pay-to-park lots and are not governed by the color code system. Parking is allowed by the posted hourly or daily rates.

Lot 7, the Conference Center Lot, is restricted from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week.

The Marriott Courtyard UD is reserved for use by hotel guests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Resident student garage parking is only valid for the student registered. Unauthorized use of garage parking constitutes fraudulent registration and parking privileges will be revoked.
