Spatial AI: Innovations and Applications
This talk explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the ways we visualize, analyze, and interact with spatial data and therefore transforming geographic analysis, mapping, and decision-making. It will showcase how applying Generative AI at scale is opening new frontiers in social science and enabling novel approaches to universal questions such as human flourishing. It will also demonstrate real-world applications of conversational AI to expand access to spatio-temporal datasets in public health and policy, thus helping to democratize data-driven insights. The talk will examine the challenges and opportunities of applying AI to geographic analysis, positioning it not only as a technological breakthrough, but also as a societal tool for advancing spatial equity and democratizing spatial understanding.
