The TAC will be open from 8 am – 5:30 pm each day of finalsincluding Saturday and Sunday.
If you are planning to use the TAC for finals, you MUST sign up by May 6 before 11:59pm. Sign-ups received after May 6 will likely NOT be approved due to:
the high volume of exams
limited seating
ability to obtain the exam from your professor
We strongly suggest that you schedule your final exams as early as possible. Please check your course syllabus.
During final exam week, additional seats in classrooms or conference rooms are used as necessary. Since these rooms do not have cameras, an in-person proctor is assigned to each location.
Important Considerations
If a test requires specialized software, please contact the TAC to see if computers can support it before scheduling the test.
Plan to arrive at DSS 15 minutes before your scheduled exam time. You will store your belongings and then be directed to your testing location where you will check-in.
When scheduling your test, make sure you have enough time available for the entire extended test duration.
Remember, you need written permission from your professor to take an exam at a different time than the scheduled class time.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes past your scheduled exam time, you (the student) must contact your professor and obtain written permission to start your exam late.
When scheduling your Final Exam in SAM,
Check the boxes for special accommodations you may need as applicable (Kurzweil, large print, etc.).
Be sure to put any explanations (reasons for changes, permissions from faculty, etc.) in the comments section of the exam request form.
Make sure to receive confirmation (a green circle with a white checkmark at the top of the page) for each sign-up. If you don’t see this confirmation, it indicates that there are additional steps to complete or your sign-up wasn’t successful.
