Really cool video and nice job explaining how pedometers work. I’ve always wondered how they can count your steps and I have always been skeptical about they’re accuracy, but I was surprised to hear that they can have up to 50% error. Is the error always an underestimation though due to a lack of detection? It seems to me that it would be very for them to show an overestimation but I’m not sure. I guess an underestimation would be beneficial anyway though because for anyone to reach they’re goal they will actually have to do more.
The concepts are explained very well. I used to wondering how my phone count my step, here the video helps me understand how it works. Also, the class lesson answered me why my phone continues count while I was driving.
Yeah, I agree that this was a great video! I remember when I was little, I used to steal my mom’s pedometer and shake it around to hear it make the clicky noise. And, now I actually know why it did that haha! But, overall nice video. You did a great job explaining how the tech works in a simple, understandable way!
