Curriculum Committee Report, April 15, 2016
- Continue regular review process with the reading curriculum: we have distributed a draft revision to all teachers for discussion in level meetings
- Review new course proposals: we are recommending Nonie Bell’s course proposal for an level IV LS elective “All in the Family” for consideration by the faculty
- Begin review of the 2015 listening curriculum revisions: completed with no changes recommended
- Discuss and make recommendations to address concerns with the learning outcomes and retention rates for Level IV RW: we have begun these discussions, which will continue into next year’s implementation plan in collaboration with level coordinators
- Initiate a survey of ELI alumni to determine whether the curriculum meets students’ diverse needs: deferred until next year
