The committee has sent out a preliminary questionnaire to candidates in order to identify areas that need improvement. With this information, along with our own long list, the PR&P committee will meet with candidates and set up action plans for each area.
Areas that have already identified:
- Creating a 2-year calendar that lists candidates who are coming up for Peer Review.
- Send a reminder to each candidate 6 months prior to his/her PR deadline.
- Direct candidates to resources on DropBox and Instructions for Electronic Dossier via Sakai Instructions offered via Matt Kinservik’s Office. (Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs).
- Setting up a communication flow chart for candidates that includes timelines, deadlines and point people at each step in the process.
- Send questions to prior candidates who have created an electronic dossier and been through the process to get feedback. Meet with prior candidates for feedback in order to improve process.
- Create “how to” instructions for technical part of creating and uploading electronic dossiers.
- Continue to add to or edit Drop Box files and ELI website for documents for Candidates and PR & P Committee members.
- Continue list of “advice and tips” for future candidates from prior candidates and committee members/ administrators.
