UI updates plus new features and tools
Over the summer, several updates were made to Canvas@UD including interface changes and new features and tools.
Learn more about these updates and how to prepare your fall Canvas courses.

What’s New:

  • The Gradescope Canvas integration pilot has been extended through spring 2025!  The initial pilot data was encouraging, but the extension will provide the pilot with the additional time needed to effectively evaluate the tool’s benefits. Learn more about the pilot to see if Gradescope can improve your grading process. Thanks to all faculty who have already supported the pilot and offered feedback.
  • Canvas feature options are now enabled by default starting fall 2024. Most course feature options are configured as an opt-in setting, but a few options have indicated consistent use and were enabled for instructor convenience.
  • The Cidi Labs DesignPLUS sidebar for Canvas content development has been upgraded to a more intuitive and user-friendly interface with improved visual organization, clear iconography, and descriptive labels. If you are a current sidebar user and would like to upgrade, or you are considering using the sidebar for content design, please visit the updated DesignPLUS for Canvas web page.
  • Respondus 4.0 is no longer available for download and licenses for current installations expired on July 31, 2024.  However, the tool will continue to be available for instructor use in Pearson 116. Visit the IT-ATS website to make an appointment.
