What is a YMO?
YMO, or Younger Member Overnighter, is a tradition open to younger members of 4-H between the ages of 8 and 12. It is an overnight camping experience that is held at Ashland Nature Center, Hockessin, DE. The weekend begins Sat. June 3, with drop off at 6 pm. Pickup is at noon on Sun. June 4. Junior Leaders along with certified chaperones and staff serve to make the YMO a terrific experience.
Younger Member Overnighter introduces 4-H’ers to many of the traditions, songs and camaraderie that continues at Junior Leader Weekend, State Camp and other state events.
4-H’ers who attend YMO learn leadership and responsibility skills from the fine example of the Junior Leaders who plan the theme and activities.
The cost is $25, which includes Delaware Nature Society educational programs, evening snacks and breakfast the next morning! Registration is required. Please submit the registration form below to the 4-H Office by May 15, 2017. Please be sure your online health form is up to date.
