Delaware 4-H is in search of an individual prepared to make a three-year commitment, with the option to renew for another two years once a review has been completed, to serve as the “One Voice”/ Camp Leader at our annual two-week State 4-H Camp at Camp Barnes in Frankford, Delaware.

2026 will be the 78th straight year of 4-H overnight programming at Camp Barnes. Dates are not set yet and tentative dates for the 2025 State 4-H Camp are:

· Week One: June 8-13th

· Week Two: June 15-20th

Candidates who wish to apply should meet or exceed the following minimum qualifications:

· Be a champion and mentor for youth

· Attended 4-H Camp as a Camper or Counselor

· Organized but flexible to the needs of youth and staff in camp environment

· Capable of working as a team member with 4-H professionals in the supervision of approximately 15 counselors per week

· Excellent communication skills and experience with program and curriculum development

· Skill in development and implementing a comprehensive camp program.

· Ability to remain at camp (including overnight) throughout the duration of the two-week camp

· Comfortable in dealing with physical condition of camp and working as part of a team with 4-H professionals

· Consulting with 4-H professionals to ensure camp weeks are successful

· Help coordinate counselor training in weeks leading up to camp

· Successful completion of criminal background check

· Successful completion of interview with search committee

A monetary stipend will be included in the employment contract once the new “One Voice” is selected. While the commitment will be made for the duration of five years, an annual evaluation will take place after each Camp.
