Happy National 4-H Week!

We hope that you take part in the social media challenge that is going on this week or the walking challenge! This new 4-H year brings you all the opportunities and experiences you are looking for, you just need to jump right in. We have some fun activities planned for the upcoming month, make sure you get enrolled / re-enrolled so you can participate in them all. Delaware 4-H enrollment and re-enrollment for the 2023-2024 year started on September 1, 2023.  If you have any questions regarding enrollment, please reach out to Serena.

Since National 4-H week started yesterday, be sure to look out for club window displays that will be displayed in the Wilmington, Newark, and Middletown area. During National 4-H week, we kick off the Fall Tractor Supply Paper Clover, the proceeds from this will go to support you in leadership activities. Paper Clover runs from Wednesday, October 4th – Sunday, October 15th.

I hope you enjoyed Sunday’s New Castle County 4-H Achievement Celebration! If you were not able to make it, it was a great event with so many 4-H members and volunteers in attendance to celebrate! We finished off with ice cream donated by Woodside Creamery. We look forward to another great year with you!

Please look in the newsletter for more information on the following events, trainings and more:

~ C-3 Meeting – Monday, October 16th

~ Pumpkin Contest / Fall Fest – Sunday, October 22nd

~ Club Officer Training – Thursday, October 19th

We are looking to start a new cycle with Exchange group, if you are interested in traveling or exploring somewhere new, please reach out to me and let me know you are interested. If you have questions, please let me know and I would be happy to answer them. The exchange group is a great chance to explore new places in a safe environment.

Be sure to look at Delaware 4-H Facebook for news and updates. Plan to participate in new events, make new friends, volunteer for something new, plan a community service event and tell others your 4-H story. If you need anything, please reach out to us, we are here and happy to help with anything you need. 4-H has something for everyone!
