Hello 4-Hers,
As January comes and goes, we begin to pick up with 4-H events, opportunities and contest so please continue to check your email and the newsletter to make sure that you have the most updated information.
As February begins, we have several items coming up which include:
Camp Scholarships Due – February 4th
C-3 Meeting via Zoom– February 14th
Junior Leader Weekend – March 4-6
Favorite Foods has been pushed back to Saturday, April 2nd. Please mark your calendars. Entries will be due Friday, March 18th to Serena. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to me.
Up and coming items to be aware of (in addition to the ones above): Start studying for Judging contests (March 28th Wildlife and Horticulture and April 2nd Foods) and finding topics for demonstrations (May 12th) . There are lots of events listed in the calendars, so please check them out. They have been changing monthly as of late, so the most recent will be the most accurate.
Teens, please keep an eye out for State Teen Conference information and hold the date of March 26th !
Reminder all 4-H members must reenroll in 4-H Online by March 1 to be eligible to participate in any summer county and statewide events and contests. You can register HERE.
Inclement Weather Policy – If the Christina School District closes for the day, has early dismissal, or cancels after-school activities, then New Castle County 4-H events are cancelled. Weekend 4-H events will be cancelled if the University of Delaware closes or cancels events.
