This course compliments Honors General Chemistry (Chem 111H), which is a co-requisite. In recent years, it has been taught alongside Chem 115, which compliments General Chemistry (Chem 111). It is a discussion/ laboratory course intended for 1st year students in chemistry and biochemistry. The course will help well-prepared students develop skills in chemical measurement, quantitative modeling of simple chemical systems, and data analysis. The format is one 1.5 hour lecture and one 3-hour laboratory per week.
The Chem 115H course is restricted to honors students in chemistry and biochemistry. The Chem 115 course presumes a major in chemistry or biochemistry.
