FAMILY MEMBERS OF GRADUATE STUDENTS
The NMPCC offers comprehensive healthcare services to family members of UD graduate students. The healthcare provided can be short-term illness management or ongoing care for chronic illness (e.g., asthma). We are often able to coordinate care with the family’s previous healthcare provider for ongoing health issues such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
Graduate Students should contact UD Student Health Care Services for their healthcare needs.
Scheduling
Call the NMPCC (302-831-3195) to schedule an appointment; same-day appointments are available.
Billing and Insurance
The NMPCC accepts the graduate-student accident and sickness insurance plan (Multiplan) and most other third-party medical insurance plans – Highmark/DE, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, Medicaid (DPCI, UHC-Community Plan). NMPCC will only bill the patient’s primary medical insurance. The patient is responsible for any insurance co-pays. NMPCC accepts personal checks, most major credit/debit cards, or cash. Payment options are available for individuals without healthcare insurance.
Individuals using the Multiplan Healthcare insurance will need to complete an Insurance Claim Form for each visit. For forms and more information about health insurance for families of graduate students, visit the UD Health Insurance for Students website.
