Canvas@UD was upgraded to a new user interface on January 4, 2016, in time for winter term 2016. The main changes users will notice are (1) the presence of “cards” on the new dashboard and (2) the main menu moving from the top to the left of the screen.
To manage which cards show up on your dashboard, go to Courses > All Courses and add a star next to the courses you want listed.
Another noticeable change: the Logout option is now located under your Account. We recommend to always log out when you are done with using Canvas, especially if you are using a shared computer.
These changes do not affect the features of your Canvas course sites when viewed on a computer. But the new interface uses responsive design so that course navigation will be easier on tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices with narrower screens. In those cases, the course navigation will collapse into an icon of three, stacked horizontal lines popup menu and the right-hand side menu will get re-flowed under the content of the page.
