A Canvas production update will occur on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Check out the full release notes. Production updates occur on third Saturday of each month, and the next planned update is Saturday, October 19, 2024. There were no interface updates in this release, but the following updates were included in recent deploys;
Rich Content Editor Features Available in SpeedGrader (August 11 deploy)
In SpeedGrader, several Rich Content Editor (RCE) text features are available when commenting so that instructors can provide better formatted feedback emphasizing key points, organizing information clearly, and including external resources directly in their comments. Format options include Heading, Bold, Italic, Underline, Font color, and Insert Hyperlink.

Assignments Assign To Interface Updated (August 28 deploy)
Canvas has reverted some of the changes implemented in the July 20 production release for the Assign To function. The “Manage Assign To” link with fly-out has been removed and the Assign To tool box at the bottom of the edit page has been restored to display by default.
