New Quizzes – Custom Results Feedback
This quiz settings option allows instructors to customize the feedback displayed to all students after they complete a quiz separate from question-level feedback that is only available when students view the submission.
If the students results view is restricted, the “Show points awarded” or “Show points possible” option must be enabled for the feedback to be displayed to the students.
Feedback can be used to to reinforce key concepts, guide students on next steps, provide additional information and enhance their overall understanding of the material. For more information about New Quizzes settings, please see the Canvas guide, How do I manage settings for a quiz in New Quizzes?
Discussions – Disallow Threaded Replies (August 14 deploy)
In Discussions, instructors can disallow threaded replies, a feature that was available in the legacy Discussions interface. A discussion with this option enabled will only allow one level of replies to the post. Please note, once there are threaded replies in a discussion, this setting cannot be changed. Files – Set Availability Times (July 31 deploy)
In Files, when setting availability dates, instructors can also set availability times to provide greater flexibility for student viewing availability. For more information about the visibility of files, please see the Canvas guide, How do I restrict files and folders to students in Canvas?
