The third-party external tool integrations in Canvas updates planned for December 18 through December 22 are complete. Updates were recommended to meet the latest learning tools standards. Core functionality and features provided by the vendor should not change, but if you rely one of the updated tools, you may wish to contact your vendor’s customer support representative for information regarding how the change may affect your workflow. For more information, please see the Canvas@UD blog post, Third-Party External Tool Integrations: Updates Winter 2024.
If you use any of the updated external tools listed below, please review any steps you may need to take to ensure the tool works correctly in your course site.
McGraw Hill Connect (previously MH Campus Deep Integration (DI) in Canvas@UD course navigation)
If you have already copied previous course content into a 24W or 24S course site that included course content using the legacy MH Campus Deep Integration (DI) tool, please delete the content before pairing with your McGraw Hill course environment.
The updated integration is activated through a Canvas Module tool named McGraw Hill Connect LTIA. It can be found on the options menu (three vertical dots) for a module you create. Instructions to link with your McGraw Hill course environment can be found in the McGraw Hill guide, Canvas LTI Advantage Integration – Instructor Workflow – New Connect Experience, and the McGraw Hill customer support specialists have created a video to help you integrate and link the new tool in your course, UD Canvas Integration. Please note, there is MH Connect tool listed in your course Settings -> Navigation that can be activated only after you complete the linking using the Module tool. It can be used to provide access to the McGraw Hill course environment, but should not be used to initiate pairing with your McGraw Hill course environment. McGraw Hill support recommends you use the Module tool only.
For additional McGraw Hill Connect support, please contact your vendor representative before publishing your course site for student use.
McGraw Hill SimNet (Business and Economics courses only)
If you have already copied previous course content into a 24W or 24S course site that included course content using the legacy MH SimNet tool, please delete the content before pairing with your McGraw Hill course environment.
Pearson MyLab and Mastering
If you have already copied previous course content into a 24W or 24S course site that included course content using the legacy Pearson MyLab and Mastering tool, please delete the content before pairing with your Pearson course environment.
The updated integration is activated through a course navigation menu tool named Access Pearson which can be enabled in your course Settings -> Navigation. For instructions, visit the Set up the Access Pearson integration – Canvas guide. For additional Pearson support, please contact your vendor representative before publishing your course site for student use.
Pearson Revel
If you have already copied previous course content into a 24W or 24S course site that included course content using the legacy Pearson Revel tool, please delete the content before pairing with your Pearson course environment.
The updated integration is activated through a course navigation menu tool named Access Pearson which can be enabled in your course Settings -> Navigation. For instructions, please visit the Get started with Revel and Pearson eText website for your LMS guide. For additional Pearson support, please contact your vendor representative before you publish your course site for student use.
Yellowdig (licensed for Business and Economics courses only)
If you have already copied previous course content into a 24W or 24S course site that included course content using the legacy Yellowdig tool, please delete the content before pairing with your Yellowdig course environment.
The updated integration is activated through a course navigation menu tool named Yellowdig 1.3 which can be enabled in your course Settings -> Navigation. Instructions to link with your Yellowdig course environment can be found in the Yellowdig guide, Canvas LTI 1.3 Course Setup Guide [FOR INSTRUCTORS]. For additional Yellowdig support, please contact your vendor representative before you publish your course site for student use.
