A Canvas production update will occur on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Check out the full release notes. Production updates occur on third Saturday of each month, and the next planned update is Saturday, August 19, 2023. Updates in the current release include:
Canvas Calendar – Schedule Recurring Events
Users can now create and edit recurring events on the Canvas calendar by using the new frequency drop-down menu.
The drop-down menu is also available on the event More Options page replacing the previous duplicate feature. Please note, if a user selects the option to use a different date for each section, the frequency option is removed. When editing or deleting a recurring event, users can select to which events the changes apply:
New Quizzes – Locked Quiz Details (October 11 deploy)
When locked, New Quizzes now display more information to the student similar to Classic Quizzes. Previously, New Quizzes showed only the message that the quiz was locked until the availability date. Now the message displays the due date, points, number of questions, and the availability dates to students. The only display information still missing when compared to Classic Quizzes is time limit for timed quizzes.
