A Canvas production update will occur on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Check out the full release notes. Production updates occur on third Saturday of each month, and the next planned update is Saturday, August 20, 2022. There are no interface changes in this production release, but there have been some updates in the deploys since the last update:
Individual Student Due Date Override (July 6 deploy)
This update fixes a known problem when differentiated assignment rules apply to a student though multiple rules. For example, if an assignment has differentiated rules for sections and then for an individual student within one of those sections, the dates of the rules would combine to provide the student the largest window of time. With this update, the individual student assignment rule dates take priority so that only the specific rule for the student applies.
Assignment Availability Window Display Update for Students (June 22 deploy)
Previously, an assignment with a short availability window displayed a rounded duration estimate to students. With this interface update, students can view the total assignment availability window in hours and minutes when an availability window is less than 24 hours so that the student sees accurate availability times.
New Quizzes Submission Pending Grade Icon for Students (June 22 deploy)
Previously, an icon did not display for New Quizzes submissions pending grades. on the students’ Grades page. This update allows students to view when a New Quizzes submission is pending a grade.
