Quarter Auction

What is a Quarter Auction?
A quarter auction is part raffle, part auction, part fundraiser and ALL fun! It works a bit like bingo. When you arrive, you’ll receive a numbered paddle with a corresponding numbered ball that’s put into the drawing basket. Auction items will be on display from a variety of donors and vendors with a bid price of 1,2,3, or 4 quarters.

Once the auction begins, a 4-H member will display the item that’s currently up for bid and will announce whether it’s a “1, 2, 3 or 4 quarter” bid. If you’re interested in bidding, you will put designated number of quarters in a bowl and raise your paddle. A 4-Her will walk from table to table with a bucket to collect bids.

The announcer will then draw a number to find a winner. If they draw your number and you bid on the item, hooray! You just won an awesome item at a great price! If they draw your number and you did NOT bid, just call out “no bid!” and they’ll continue to draw numbers until a winner is declared.

Paddles are $25.00 in advance (Check, cash- exact change only to the NCC office- or Venmo: @NCC4-HLeaders) and includes paddle and roll of quarters to get the bidding started. On the day of the event, paddles will be $30.00 at the door (cash, card, check, Venmo: @NCC4-HLeaders) with a roll of quarters. Additional paddles can be purchased for $5.00.
All In Paddles are $60.00. This means you automatically bid on every item without putting any quarters in.

Doors open at 6:30 and the auction begins at 7 pm.
