National Youth Summit on Healthy Living
February 12-15, 2016
National 4-H Council has allotted monies to send 3 Delaware 4-H and Healthy Living Ambassadors to the National Youth Summit on Healthy Living. At the National Youth Summit on Healthy Living, high school students develop the knowledge and skills to address today’s issues such as nutrition education, physical fitness, wellness, and emotional well-being. National 4-H Council and the National 4-H Conference Center have partnered with professionals in Family Consumer Science and Healthy Living to host the National Youth Summit on Healthy Living. Students are trained to create action plans to implement in their communities and teach other youth about what they have learned. The structure of the summits maximizes the amount of hands-on learning experiences and translates that learning to direct outcomes.
This Summit is open to any high school student in grades 9-12 as of September 2015.
Delaware 4-H members and Healthy Living Ambassadors must fill out an application (see below) to be considered to attend the conference.
