Hello 4-Hers and families,
The 2024 year is sure moving quickly and the 4-H world is ramping up for spring! Please make sure to read through everything as many contests, and opportunities are coming up.
We had a great junior leader weekend this past month where many teen leaders came together and learned how to handle stress, what their stressors were, different ways to lead and lead others, communication skills, and enjoyed each other’s company. We hope all the junior leaders who attended enjoyed their weekend.
As February begins, we have several items coming up which include:
UD Basketball Game – February 3rd
Favorite Foods, Foods Judging and displayed Photo Contest – February 10th
C-3 Meeting – February 12th
State Teen Conference – February 17-18th
Up and coming items to be aware of:
– State Camp / Day Camp registration open – March 1st
– Foundation scholarships are due – March 1st
– **NEW Countywide Club Night – March 13th from 6-8pm
– Judging contests – March 27th Wildlife/ Horticulture
Inclement Weather Policy – If the Christina School District closes for the day, has early dismissal, or cancels after-school activities, then New Castle County 4-H events are cancelled. Weekend 4-H events will be cancelled if the University of Delaware closes or cancels events.
