Happy Turkey Month!

November means Fall is in full swing and the colors outside are beautiful. It’s a great time to be with family and remember everything you are thankful for. This month brings Election Day, Veteran day, Native American Heritage Day, and Thanksgiving!

“Grow with 4-H” was the themes for this Achievement Banquet held on Sunday, October 10. Jenny Trunfio was surprised to be presented with the Joy Sparks Spirit of 4-H Award. We honored everyone’s achievements over the last year and our three candidates heading to National 4-H Congress: Cole Simpson, Matthew Trunfio and Sydney Pyle. Congratulations to all 4-H members, volunteers, and parents on a great year!

This year for the pumpkin contest, we had a great turn out of pumpkins, and you all did a great job on craving, painting, and decorating them. Congratulations to our winners (see the post in the newsletter for a list of the winners) and thank you to the 4-H Link members on supporting the event. Way to go!

We had two Window Displays this past month and the judges enjoyed going around to them to look at the job well done. For those of you who didn’t have a chance to see them, please check below. They turned out great!

1st Place – Summit Bridge

2nd Place – Stump Corner

Be sure to read all those posts so you don’t miss anything! We have community service opportunities coming up as well as Public Speaking at the end of November. The application for the 2022 National 4-H Conference is also included.

We love to hear all of the great things you are doing with your club members; club reporters don’t forget to submit your club news to Serena by the 25th of each month to be included in the newsletter.

Be sure to look at our online newsletter, Friday emails and Delaware 4-H Facebook for updates, news and challenges. Leaders- please make sure to check your club enrollment to make sure your club members are able to participate in all things 4-H!

I hope you enjoy Thanksgiving with your family and loved ones! Remember to take a few second to embrace the moment, we have so much to be thankful for!

Yours in 4-H,

Ms. Kaitlin
