Happy November, 4-H Family!
November is full of change- leaves, cooler weather and daylight savings time. Be sure to turn your clocks back on Sunday, November 5 and enjoy the extra hour of sleep. This month we also have Veterans Day, World Kindness Day and of course, Thanksgiving!
New Castle County 4-H was busy in October with the following events:
- National 4-H Week
- National Youth Science Day
- Window Display & Banner Contest
- Paper Clover Fundraiser
- Blackbird Community Fall Fest
- 4-H Achievement Banquet- which was very well received. Stay tuned for a recap to come soon!
And there’s no slowing down either! The events coming up in November:
- Youth- Adult Partnership conference Nov 10-12, Atlantic Sands, Rehoboth DE
- Delaware 4-H will send a delegation of teens to Atlanta, GA to participate in National Club Congress from November 25-November 29. The New Castle County delegates are: Shannon Murray and Matthew Johnston. We can’t wait to hear what they take away from this event.
- New Castle County Link’s Meeting, November 14

Please make sure you scroll through the entire blog. It is full of important registration deadlines for upcoming events , an announcement on Winter Fun Day and a Save the Date for the Favorite Foods Competition- along with other service opportunities and announcements.
We hope that you enjoy your Thanksgiving with friends and family, both 4-H and otherwise.
Yours in 4-H,
