Dear 4-H Families and Friends,
This summer was filled with many 4-H activities and events. State 4-H Camp, the Exchange Group trip to Montana, Environmental Camp, State Fair and Day Camps all provided fun, education and learning opportunities.
Now it feels like we’ve jumped straight into fall!
Moving ahead, please read this edition of the September blog for important information about upcoming events- there are quite a few to kick off the 2017-2018 year. Among the posts are:
~Record books will be due Sept. 25. Completing a record book is the best way to document your 4-H accomplishments. An online fillable form is now available. Record book training is available on Sept. 13 at 6 pm at the Extension Office. Other times by appointment.
~Many 4-Hers will be honored at the County Achievement Event on October 29 at 2 p.m. at the Extension office. Please note the change of location, day and time, and plan to attend what promises to be a great celebration. Our county program is growing and we are excited to meet new members, leaders, and families!
~4-Hers ages 13-19 won’t want to miss the Healthy Living/Youth-Adult Partnership Conference which will take place Nov. 10-12 at the Atlantic Sands Hotel in Rehoboth Beach. Registration is now open thru October 1.
With the new 4-H year starting, there are exciting activities and events planned. Please remember to check your email regularly for news and updates.
Please feel free to call, email, or visit the office if you have any ideas, suggestions, or concerns about New Castle County 4-H programming. Your input into our programming is valuable!
Looking forward to a great year in New Castle County 4-H!
Betsy, Kaitlin and Serena
