Greetings 4-H Families and Friends,

Congratulations to our Salute to Excellence winners who were recently honored at the Leader Forum.

Volunteer of the Year was Tricia Clifton of the Tails n’ Trails Club. The Lifetime Volunteer was Joyce VanStan, Holy Angels Club.

Congratulations to our National 4-H Photography Summit delegation of Logan Aber and Hunter Willoughby. They will be traveling to Washington D.C. Feb. 28-March 3 with three other DE 4-Hers and chaperone, Richard Melson.

Looking ahead, there are many events to read about and register for in the March blog including:

~State Camps, Environmental Camp and Day Camps are now registering.  Please help us spread the word about our great summer camp program.

~The first demonstration contest is March 21 followed by the second date of May 11. Do not miss this great opportunity to share your 4-H knowledge and skills.

~Come out and support our Exchange Group at their 4th Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Townsend on March 23 from 5-7 pm. The funds raised help to cover expenses for the group to travel to Minnesota in June. If you cannot attend the dinner and would like to contribute to their effort, donations would be greatly appreciated.

~An exciting Younger Member Overnighter is planned for March 30-31 at Ashland Nature Center. This opportunity is for 8-12 yr. olds.  Please register by March 15.

~Ag Day is April 27 and a great opportunity for 4-H Clubs to highlight their activities.  Please submit the registration form by March 22. Our 4-H Leaders will have a food booth and help is welcomed throughout the day. The funds raised help support many New Castle County 4-H programs.

As always, please let us know if you have any comments, suggestions, questions or concerns.

Yours in 4-H,

Betsy, Kaitlin, Serena and Maureen
