Ag Day is a community event hosted by the University of Delaware College of Agriculture and Natural Resources that brings agriculture and natural resources to life. 4-H has a long-standing presence at Ag Day and we are planning to be part of the Extension tent again this year. One of our goals this year is to help visitors better understand all the types of topics people can learn about by engaging with Extension. The theme for this year’s AG Day is “Commitment to Conservation”. We are asking that all exhibitors embrace this theme as they determine what they will be showcasing this year.
If your club would like to participate in the 45th Ag Day, on April 30th from 10:00am-4:00pm at the University of Delaware Ag Campus, please follow these instructions:
1. Fill out the 4-H Ag Day Registration form and return it to the NCC 4-H office by Friday, March 25, 2022. Do not fill out the online Ag Day form! All 4-H registrations will be handled by the NCC 4-H office.
2. Please indicate what your club is interested in doing at Ag Day. You may check off more than one area. We would like as many clubs to participate as possible. We are suggesting you share a project area that is of interest to your club that showcases the “Commitment to Conservation” theme. We would like to have a variety of activities and projects highlighted, so knowing this information ahead of time will allow for this. Let us know if you need help with an idea or supplies.
3. Please tell us your space needs for the day. Though we will have the entire tent, we would like to utilize the space well. A standard exhibit includes 1 table (8 ft. x 30 in. x 30 in) and 2 chairs. Please try to limit the amount of extra tables and chairs your club requests as much as possible; we will do our best to honor all requests.
4. There is no cost for 4-H clubs! Because 4-H is an educational group and 4-H clubs are such an important part of Ag Day, there is no cost for Delaware 4-H clubs presenting educational exhibits, demonstrations, or activities at Ag Day.
Remember, registrations are due to the county 4-H office no later than March 25, 2022. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail Kaitlin at 383-9100 or kklair@udel.edu. Information about set-up for the day of the event will be sent to the club contact on the registration form.
We hope to see you at Ag Day on April 30, 2022
