The Poultry and Animal Health Section at the Delaware Department of Agriculture would like to remind you if you plan to attend an out-of-state livestock show or expo this show season, you will need to get a health certificate to travel.
This year, due to staffing constraints, health certificates will be issued through a new process. Interstate health certificates will not be available during fair inspections, so please plan accordingly. If you would like to obtain a health certificate, you will need to attend one of the following inspection dates with your livestock. If you are unable to attend any of the dates below, you are welcome to contact your veterinarian for a health certificate.
Health Certificate Inspections
· June 3 – New Castle County 4-H/FFA Show at the Fairgrounds, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
· June 16 – Delaware Department of Agriculture Office, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
You must RSVP for inspection three days before and provide the requested information using the following link, https://forms.gle/MYA4g4Wths62GMUW6. If you do not RSVP three days in advance, we cannot guarantee your livestock will be able to be inspected. Remember, you must have a health certificate within 30 days of an interstate show or expo.
To help create a smooth transition for everyone, we have attached an informational flyer to help answer questions and provide important inspection information. If any future questions or concerns arise, please contact deanimalhealth@delaware.gov.
