The Season of Gratitude!

Bonus Activity: A Thankful Tree in 3 Easy Steps

Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and we can create a thankful tree.

HERE ARE 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO CREATE A THANKFUL TREE THIS THANKSGIVING

  1. Go outside and gather some sticks and leaves

Head outside and gather some sticks or branches for your thankful tree. Look for sticks that have lots of branches so there are plenty of places to hang the leaves. Then gather leaves of all colors and sizes.

  • Add gratitude thoughts to your thankful tree

Use a sharpie to draw on each leaf one reason you are thankful. Try and be as specific as possible! Some examples are for home, friends, and family. Go into a little bit more detail of why or what you appreciate about those things.

  • Arrange your branches and decorate with leaves

Depending on how large your sticks are, you’ll need to find a vase or a jar that is the right size for your thankful tree. Once you’ve got your sticks arranged the way you’d like, it’s time to add the leaves! Punch a hole through the lead then use twine to form an ornament.

Hang the leaves, with their notes of gratitude, on the branches.
