Curating Hidden Collections & the Black Archive (Spring 2021)
Spring 2021 marked the second convening of Curating Hidden Collections & the Black Archive seminar. The seminar met virtually; the context of two pandemics, coronavirus and systemic racism, was always near. The determination, creativity and empathy of the 2021 project team and the contributions of the visiting scholars and teaching cohort, all named below, were essential to seminar’s success. Their efforts enliven this site and the related Artstor portal and finding aid for the Black Portrait Photograph collection.
