This past evening, some new members of ASME UD gathered to learn more about the various committees they could get more involved in, as well as competing in a quick mini-build. An overview of the Pumpkin Chunkin & Robotics build teams was given, as well as the public relations & fun events committees.
Next, the challenge was unveiled as supporting a heavy textbook the highest off the table with only three pieces of paper. The prize: Gift cards to Subway & Dunkin Donuts. A number of creative designs were tested, but the trusty column came out on top. Congratuations to Peter Vanderkley for the best column, Jeremy Kuelker for the runner up, and Andrew Bank for a honorable mention. Thank you to everyone who came, and hopefully we’ll see everyone at our next fun event in late October!
