This past week, the ASME UD Pumpkin Chunkin team kicked off our build this semester by reassembling our truss from last year, and prioritizing the additional components to design for this year’s competition. 
First we pulled everything out of storage, from the depths of Spencer Lab. Next we brought everything up into the pit, and bolted the frames back together. Thankfully we still have all of the frame parts, and everything was labeled for easy reassembly.
We then set everything upright, and added the side supports. From here, we mocked everything up for this year’s design. Though this process, we decided to redo the center posts to accommodate a larger shaft and make the arm more robust. Altogether, we are off to a great start, and cannot wait for competition on Friday, October 27th!
