Simply put, E-week Broomball was epic this year. We had a DJ, gallons of ME125 Ice Cream, extra ice time, and much much more. Over 120+ people were in attendance, with 12 teams competing in the bracket for glory, and the 3D printed MVP trophy. Though Broomball may not have been quite as much of a non-contact sport as originally advertised due to things like inertia, everyone agreed that it was quite nice to slide around on the ice.
Still, it is important this event could not have happend without a lot of help and planning beforehand; this year, ASME & FSAE coordinated the planning. Thank you to the University of Delaware College of Engineering for their financial support, media support, flyer printing, and countless hours of planning advice & assistance. Thank you to the Department of Mechanical Engineering for providing three 2.5 gallon tubs of ME125 ice cream, & making scarf sales possible. Furthermore, thank you to the dozen volunteers who came out to help make this event a success. See you all on the ice next year!
