Blue & Gold Invitational 2018

The team had our second and final home meet of the season, and both teams placed 4th overall! Officials results are here.

In her last meet at White Clay Creek State Park, senior Haley Reid was the first for the team to cross the finish in 26:09.8. Behind her were freshman Ana Dacey (26:12.6) and Captain Emily Magoon (26:14.0). Abby Kaye was 4th for the team, running a time of 26:25.8. Captain Elise LaFramboise was the last to score, completing the course in 26:30.8. Similar to their performance at the Paul Short Invitational, the ladies had a slim time spread–this time, less than 21 seconds!

The men’s top 7 did not compete in this race as they prepare for the Princeton Invitational this coming weekend. Despite this, the rest of the team stepped up and had a strong performance! Schuyler Reed was the first to finish, running 30:42.3. Fellow freshman Ricky Farrell finished next in 31:04.6, and was followed by Jake Landon, who ran 31:11.9. Freshman Pat LaPorte and senior John Wehmeyer rounded out the top 5, finishing in 33:03.5 and 33:16.9, respectively.

Progress continues for the team as we move through the season. NIRCA Regionals in Bethlehem, PA are just two weeks away! With photography from Evan Driscoll, pictures are below:
