DC Invitational 2017

This past weekend the cross country team ran at the first annual DC Invitational, hosted by Georgetown University! The race was held at Fort Dupont Park, a considerably hilly course. Results can be found here, and more information on the meet is here.

The women’s team placed 4th overall. The first to cross the finish line for the team was Alana Waggoner, who ran 26:47.71 to place 12th. After her came Lydia Izzo, who finished in 27:26.56, placing 22nd. Next, freshmen Elise LaFramboise and Emily Magoon finished 24th and 25th respectively. LaFramboise ran 27:33.34 and Magoon ran 27:58.11.

The men’s team placed 3rd overall, and received a trophy. The team’s top finisher was Brandon Holveck, who placed 4th with a time of 28:39.28. Right behind him was Chris Kitson, who finished 5th in 28:40.66. Holveck and Kitson both received medals for finishing in the top 10. Brandon Quanci placed 16th in 30:37.55, and Brendan Jones placed 32nd in 32:29.18.
