The Women in Engineering (WiE) program at the University of Delaware has the goal to promote, mentor, and enable participation of women students and faculty in engineering studies and in the work place. In this direction, the program sponsors interaction and mentoring among the women undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty within the college of engineering as well as with external representatives from industry, government agencies and other academic institutions. The program advocates education and interaction among women and men students, faculty, and administrators, with the goal of promoting healthy institutional climate for all members of the engineering community at UD.
The Women in Engineering (WIE) group at the University of Delaware hosts events over the course of the year to build community among all UD engineers, male and female. Some of the regular events include:
Pam Cook: Unidel Professor of Mathematics, Associate Dean of Engineering, Professor, Chemical Engineering.
Rachel Davidson: Interim Associate Dean, Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering.
