Paid Internship Working with Real Blue Hens

This summer, the University of Delaware’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will offer (2 – 3) students the opportunity to get a paid, hands-on learning experience with live blue hens from the UD flock!

These students will work with the birds on the UD farm starting in the summer in order to be ready to have the birds on display and educate the public on blue hens at six UD home football games in the fall at the President’s tent.

Students must be able to commit to working a minimum of three hours at each of the UD home games slated for:

Thursday, August 31;
Saturday, September 16;
Saturday, September 30;
Saturday, October 14;
Saturday, October 21; and
Saturday, November 11.

Students interested in working with blue hens over the summer and educating the public on all the facts surrounding Delaware’s state bird in the fall should e-mail Bob Alphin at ralphin@udel.edu or call (302) 831-0825.
