GSG Sustainability Report - Fall 2021
The GSG Environmental Sustainability Report 2021 addresses the challenge of climate change that faces the University of Delaware by capitalizing on the strengths of graduate student members of the GSG Sustainability Committee and beyond. This Report draws attention to the array of issues affecting the University, and how the administration can work to improve its sustainability practices and record. These opportunities for change are richly informed by graduate student subject areas, academic literature, scientific data, and media reports. Examples of assessments include sustainability spending, campus lighting, building temperature control, fossil fuel divestment, and a bikeshare program. Beside this, the Report highlights the University’s environmental sustainability record, its AASHE STARS status, and recognizes the importance of environmental justice, indigenous history, and President Joe Biden’s message on climate change.
