I am a political ecologist, centering people, their livelihoods, and their relationship to their environment in my work. My interests broadly revolve around agrarian political economy, rural livelihoods, and feminist approaches to people-environment interactions. My work includes research on debt in small-scale agriculture and production of biodiversity in human-managed landscapes in India, and the social and ecological management of invasive plant species in the United States. I teach classes related to environmental studies and human geography.
