The Partnership Continues!

by | Aug 17, 2018 | Malawi

Our apologies for the late blog. We got distracted having a blindfolded scavenger hunt…don’t ask.
When we started our project in 2014, we partnered with 5 communities. Since then, we have completed projects in 2 of the 5. On Thursday, we took a break from Chilimani and met with our other partner communities (Liti and Nkagula) to assess their needs and determine which community we will work with next. Liti and Nkagula both showed a desperate need for more water.

However, they also proposed other projects that the team was interested in. Both villages expressed a desire for community clinics. Liti, a community of 3,000 people, suggested that an adult literacy center would be an enormous help for a community of their size. While the team realizes that it is crucial to address the need for water first and foremost, we are very excited at the prospects of some other projects! Here’s to the future of the EWB Malawi Project!
