Graduate Students

Ariel Chavers is a Ph.D. student in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. She is interested in the development and interconnectedness of language, literacy, socioemotional skills, and social-cognitive processes during early childhood. Specifically, Ariel investigates how socioemotional classroom-based interventions impact emotional and behavioral regulation skills, language, and literacy.
 
Irene Post is a Ph.D. student in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. She is interested in bilingual education, language acquisition, and the literacy development of multilingual children.

Research Assistants

Sarah Minacci received her B.S. from the University of Delaware in 2022. She is a biological sciences major with minors in both genetic counseling and disability studies. She is interested in the role of genetic conditions in cognitive development and education.

Undergraduate Students

Lauren Baran is an undergraduate at the University of Delaware. She is a neuroscience major with minors in both exercise science and medical diagnostics. She is interested in the effect of sleep deprivation on the development of the adolescent brain.
Nuo Chen is an undergraduate at Union College majoring in neuroscience. Her self-designed minor, the “Healthcare System in Obstetrics and Gynecology,” is interdisciplinary. Nuo is interested in how the nervous system develops, its structure and function in the human body, as well as its role in disease.
