We are conducting an online research study to examine how reading and writing abilities in one language influence literacy skills in another language. This study will take place virtually through a secure Zoom link and online questionnaires. The entire study will take place in 3-virtual 2-hour sessions. Participants will be compensated at a rate of $20/session in gift cards.

In order to participate, you must:

    •  Be 8-12 years old
    • Have typical hearing and vision (or corrected to normal)
    • Speak Mandarin and English
    • Have at least one parent speaking Mandarin at home
    • Have access to a device with adequate internet and a screen size of at least 12 inches
    • Have no history of major neurological injury or disorder

Adult Test Validation Study

Help us validate tests of language and reading for online use! For this study, you will complete a series of online questionnaires, followed by a zoom session with a member of our lab for some standard tests of language and reading. The study will take approximately 2-4 hours, and participants are compensated $5/30 minutes in gift cards.

In order to participate, you must:

    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Have typical hearing and vision (or corrected to typical)
    • Be a native speaker of English
    • Have access to a device with adequate internet and a screen size of at least 12 inches
    • Have no history of major neurological injury or disorder

All ability levels are welcome, but we strongly encourage participants with a history of dyslexia or language disorder!
