Earth Observation Day

2021 EOD Webinar

Earth Observation Day (EOD) 2021 was extra special as it happened around the same time that NASA and USGS launched the 9th Landsat satellite celebrating over 40 years of continuous Earth observation from space. Drs. DeLiberty (DelawareView) and Schorse (DCGE) prepared a webinar to celebrate the event and share fun teaching resources that utilize remote sensing

EOD Classroom visits

To celebrate Earth Observation Day DCGE has been partnering with DelawareView to take the EOD Day posters/games to teachers and students. Outreach efforts have included visits with middle and high school students in the Christina and Colonial School Districts. Through the EOD games students learn about how satellites capture pictures of the Earth and help us to monitor change over time.

Teachers interested in scheduling a visit or receiving a copy of any of the EOD Poster Games should contact DCGE
